Batch script to edit .edi file and remove entries

#1 Post by Jshirley338 » 02 Feb 2016 16:54

Looking for all files that start with 835_5010_KHS_xxxxxxxxxxx.edi

The entry that needs to be removed is DTM*050*yyyymmdd

There will be a ~ before and after this entry in the single line version

If able to script the conversion to multiple lines, then there will not be a ~ in the lines.

All entries need to be removed from the files.

Hello all,
I know this is an old post, but it seems to be the closest to what I'm looking for. I have a bunch of .edi files that look like this 835_5010_xxxxxxxx.edi
I need to go into the file and remove entries that start with DTM*50*yyyymmdd their is always a "~" before this entry in a single line version I need to create a script the conversion to multiple lines, so that the "~" goes away. Any help would be appreciated.
