Command.com file .Windows XP needed

#1 Post by Keenrw » 05 Jul 2016 19:14

Hi

Please can some one send me a copy of the command.com file from a Windows XP PC as this file appears to be damaged on my old PC ...booted it up to play an old game but it won't work ,nephew I looked at the file there appears to be odd numbers and letters at the top , and I end up with an NTVDM error message .
If ant one can send me a copy to test that would be great , my email is ...

Thanks in advance
Rich

You may want to ask your question over on a forum like TechGuy or Computer Hope. We really do not specialize in fixing problems with Windows System files on this forum. We are basically a script related community.

Try checking your system files first.

Go to your Start button, then click Run, and type in SFC.EXE /SCANNOW before pressing Enter.

The program may ask you for your Windows XP installation CD - insert it at the prompt if it does.
