Looking for light live usb that allows win partition editing

#1 Post by Rydell » 29 Sep 2013 00:39

Hey folks, I'm doing the independent contractor thing and I need to quickly distribute some OS changes to a local businesses network without the luxury of an administrative management role. I'm sort of scouring the web and asking on different forums right now, this needs to be done by tomorrow night and I'm being offered pretty good compensation. I have 119 PC's to load this batch on with roughly 8 hours. My only weaknesses is knowledge of the availability with different live distros for bootable usbs. I found this guy on craigs and he needs every computer in this business to be on a domain... I didn't ask questions. But he will be shadowing me as I'm doing this from 9-5AM. Is anyone here familiar with a live distro I can load onto a thumb drive that's quick enough to put a batch into the startup folders? It's THE simplest way right now. Or maybe just make modifications to their existing partition in this way? A freakin shell with a rough windows command prompt would probably even suffice, I just need to copy over this file. Thanks all..

The location of the startup folder moved in different versions of windows, so is it a single version of Windows?

Are the PC's on a LAN? Doing it that way would be easy and quick for a batch file.
